Colombia officially known as Republic of Columbia is bounded on the northwest by Panama, on the east by Venezuela and Brazil, and on the southwest by Peru and Ecuador. Through the western half of the country, three Andean ranges run north and south. The eastern half is a low, jungle-covered plain, drained by spurs of the Amazon and Orinoco Rivers, inhabited mostly by isolated tropical-forest Indian tribes. The fertile plateau and valley of the eastern range are the most densely populated parts of the country. Columbia is a large nation with diverse topography. It is the fourth largest country in South America 7 times that of New England. The Western region is densely populated as it enjoys favorable climate and due to rich soil. Colombia consists of vibrant cities with vibrant metros and soaring skyscrapers. Elegant port towns cut by cobbled alleys and bougainvillea cloistered balconies. Awesome national parks ranging from Heavenly to tropical beauties intersperse the Colombian plane. Colombian boasts of cruise boats, party buses, late night salsa dancing and shopping glory.

Transport and Accommodation in Colombia
Transportation plays a prime role in Colombia in unifying the country. By far the most important means of surface transportation is the road system. Two parallel main roads extend towards the interior from the Caribbean ports, one following the Cordillera Oriental to Bogotá and Santa Marta, the other passing through Medellin, Cali, and Popayan to the Ecuadorian border. There is, however, no overland communication with Panama and Central America, because of the difficult terrain of the Darién Gap, which separates Panama and Colombia and breaks up the northern and southern sections of the Pan-American Highway. Perhaps in no other country has air transport played so major a role as in Colombia. Frequent flights link all-important cities to Columbia, reducing travel times inordinately from those on the tortuous, indirect, and slow mountain highways. The role of railroads has become increasingly secondary. The nearby Panama Canal has proved a convenient and cost-effective link to Colombia. There are also Bus, Taxi, Private Car and Motor Bicycle for the Tourists.
Accommodation- the travelers have ample options to choose from budget Hotels to more plush and exotic ones.
