Brazil, a part of South America is greater then Unites States of America. There is 7000 Km of beaches to choose from with along the call of the Amazon Rain forest! Brazil encompasses poverty on the top part of the country while in the south of the country there are some of the largest metropolises of the world.
Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo are the two biggest cities with the latter home to around 23 million people. Sao Paolo boasts of wealth but the glamour belongs to Rio de Janerio. A place that sets trends in beach fashion, the hub of educated people and the English-speaking crowd .The southern states get European with fairer skin and blonde hair, bequest of the German and Dutch genes. It gets cold in winter unlike the description given in the picture postcards. After hitting Bahia, going north the second half of it begins. Most beautiful beaches in the world find their place in Northeast Brazil. Little fishing hamlets transformed into vibrant beaches in the span of a few years. In places like Pipa, there are beaches with surfing facility and dolphins to keep you engaged. In nearby Olinda, there is the bohemian music centre - the beach is too dangerous as it is shark-infested. Rail
Traveling by rail to Brazil is not recommended as limited rail services link Brazil with Argentina, Bolivia and Chile. Distances are long and the trains are not particularly pleasant.
Bus - It is possible to take a bus from any of the neighboring countries such as Chile, Bolivia and Argentina, or even all the way from the USA; however, this form of transportation should be considered last. Distances are extremely long and journeys are often uncomfortable
Sea
Rio de Janeiro is the main port in Brazil and is utilized by many international cruise ships. The other popular ports are Manaus, Recife, Fortaleza, Salvador and Vitoria. Most major international cruise lines sail to Brazilian ports.

Brazil has had a reputation for violence and crime since the 1980s, with Rio de Janeiro being a particular bastion of danger. In the 1990s, the country cleaned up its image a bit by installing better street lighting and stationing police on city streets and on public beaches. Governments began working at extending water and sanitation to some of the city's poorer residents as well. Common sense should apply when in Brazil - visitors should refrain from displaying their valuables in public. It is advisable to be aware of pickpockets, especially in busy areas and on public transport. You should be especially careful at night and stick to main streets.
