One major tourist attraction of Kuwait is Seif Palace, built in 1896. The beautiful palace engraved with original Islamic mosaic tile work is really fascinating. Tareq Rajab Museum is another place of tourist interest displaying numerous collections of ceramics, manuscripts, metalwork, textiles, costumes and silver folk jewelry preserved from the Arab and Islamic world. Old City Wall Gates adjacent to the First Ring Road is a site featuring the country's historical background. The wall was by Sheikh Salim Al-Mubarak in 1922 to keep away desert tribes out of the town.
Another remarkable attraction of Kuwait is the extravagant "Music Fountain". The fountain embodies colorful illumination synchronized with local music sounds.
