The official name of this country is the Sultanate of Brunei and is situated on the Borneo Island. The exact location of this country is in Southeast Asia and it got its independence from Great Britain in the ear 1984. The country covers an area of 5,765 square km with a population of 322,000. The Government of Brunei follows absolute monarchy and the Sultan is Hassanal Bolkiah. The economy of Brunei is quite wealthy and its culture is influenced mainly by Islam and Hinduism.

Kampung Ayer is another important location to visit and has a collection of 28 water villages that are constructed on stilts. This place is an awesome mixture of the past and the present.
The capital city of Brunei has some beautiful museums. Some of them are the Brunei Museum and the Malay Technology Museum.
The Sultan's Palace is another place to visit and the visitors cannot afford to miss this.
Brunei's largest lake is situated in Merimbun Heritage Park and is a place worth visiting.
The people of Brunei are hospitable and hence all together it is a good place to visit.
