Precaution
Travel to the northern parts of the country should be avoided as some of the areas in this region have encountered terrible violence. You should stick to the tourist areas and not explore the city on your own. Do not carry valuable items on you as these could lead to theft. Also while trekking in the Bwindi Forest National Park, make sure you are accompanied by armed guards as there are risks of bandits in the area. Do not indulge in unprotected sex as the percentage of HIV/AIDS is very high in the country. Take vaccinations for Malaria prior to your arrival in Uganda.
