The official name of this country is the Republic of Chad and is located in Central Africa and is often called the "dead heart of Africa". It is a landlocked country and in the northern side it comprises of the Tibesti mountains which are the largest mountain chain in the Sahara Desert. Chad covers an area of 1,284,000 square km with a population of 9,749000. The government of Chad is republic and has four climatic zones. |
The economy of Chad mainly depends on agriculture and is weak with limited resources. Unrest regarding political issues is a major problem in this country.
